Saudi Red Crescent began implementing its emergency plan for the Ramadan Umrah season. The plan will run until the sixth day of Shawwal, Madinah Red Crescent spokesman Khalid Al-Sahly said. He said the plan includes providing medical and emergency services to the visitors of the Prophet’s Mosque. The Red Crescent has deployed over 50,000 pieces of advanced equipment, 1,600 volunteers and 31 emergency teams ready to intervene whenever needed, Al-Sahly added. — SG
