JEDDAH — Saudi stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Building & Construction, Media & Publishing and Transport sectors led shares lower.

The stock benchmark Tadawul All Share Index declined 0.22%.

The best performers of the session were Gulf Union Cooperative Insurance, which rose 4.62% or 0.45 points to trade at 10.20 at the close. Meanwhile, United Cooperative Assurance Co added 4.18% or 0.55 points to end at 13.70 and Saudi Int Petrochemical Co was up 2.27% or 0.30 points to 13.50 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Buruj Cooperative Insurance Co, which fell 3.40% or 0.60 points to trade at 17.05 at the close. Anb Insurance declined 3.39% or 0.65 points to end at 18.50 and Saudi Industrial Export Co was down 3.27% or 1.20 points to 35.50.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 126 to 32 and 11 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for October delivery was down 1.01% or 0.45 to $43.99 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 2.41% or 1.15 to hit $46.48 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.87% or 11.55 to trade at $1338.25 a troy ounce.
