Wanted terrorist Zaki Zuweiri arrested

RIYADH — Zaki Salman Hussein Zuweiri, wanted for committing several terrorist crimes in Qatif's Al-Awamiyah town, has been arrested, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) quoted security spokesman of the Ministry of Interior as saying on Saturday.

The spokesman said the crimes committed by Zuweiri included firing at security patrols and police stations, stopping passersby at gunpoint and robbing them of their vehicles.

He shot dead an expatriate on April 6, 2013, in Al-Awamiyah, robbed his vehicle and set it on fire.

On the same day, he attacked another expatriate. He took him to a farm, shot him in the feet and robbed his vehicle.

He participated in armed robberies of several shops and kidnapping and raping a male juvenile at gunpoint.
